High-Level Dust Removal in Miami
We clean the dust you can't reach: exposed ceilings, ductwork, pipes, beams, light fixtures, sprinkler lines and vents. Lifts, extension tools, industrial vacuums and crews who work after hours.
Dust Collects Where Nobody Cleans
Daily cleaning covers everything from about head height down. Above that, dust settles on anything horizontal: the tops of ductwork, light fixtures, open-web joists, cable trays, sprinkler pipes, air diffusers and ceiling fans. In buildings with exposed ceilings, which describes a lot of newer offices, restaurants and warehouses around Miami, all of it is in plain view.
Left alone, that dust turns into a problem. It falls onto desks, inventory and food prep areas. Air handlers and ceiling fans push it back into circulation. In warehouses, heavy dust on lights and pipes is a fire risk and tends to get noticed during inspections. And in a restaurant or a store, customers do look up.
Our high dusting service takes care of all of it. We bring lifts that reach well above 12 feet along with extension poles, industrial vacuums and microfiber tools, and we work from the top down so nothing falls on surfaces that are already clean. The work is done by Miami Top Cleaning employees, usually after hours.

What We Clean Overhead
Exposed Ductwork & Pipes
Round and rectangular duct, plumbing, conduit and sprinkler lines are vacuumed and wiped along their full length.
Light Fixtures
Pendants, high-bay fixtures, troffer lenses and track lighting are cleaned so they give off the light they're supposed to.
Vents, Diffusers & Returns
Supply diffusers and return grilles are vacuumed and wiped to cut down on dust blowing back into the room.
Beams, Joists & Trusses
Open-web joists, steel beams and roof decking, where dust builds up in thick layers.
Ceiling Fans & HVLS Fans
Blades, motor housings and mounts, including the big fans in warehouses and gyms.
Walls, Ledges & Signage
High walls, window ledges, cable trays, banners and signs that sit above normal reach.
Facilities That Need High Dusting
We provide high-level dust removal for:
- Warehouses and distribution centers. Rack tops, high-bay lights, joists and roof decks. Many of these clients also use our industrial cleaning.
- Restaurants and bars. Exposed ductwork and fixtures above dining rooms and kitchens.
- Offices with open ceilings. Common in renovated spaces in Wynwood, Brickell and Doral.
- Retail stores and showrooms. Displays, track lighting and ceilings above merchandise.
- Gyms and event venues. High ceilings, large fans and lighting rigs.
- New construction and renovations. Fine construction dust on every overhead surface before move-in. We often pair this with construction cleaning.
How Often Should High Dusting Be Done?
It depends on the building and what goes on inside it. Most offices and retail spaces do well with high dusting every three to six months. Restaurants, where grease mixes with the dust, often need it every one to three months above the kitchen and dining room. Warehouses and manufacturing spaces vary widely with the products stored and the amount of truck traffic.
After any renovation or construction, a one-time high dusting before people move in is usually worth it. Food facilities, health care spaces and warehouses may also face inspections that make a written schedule worth having, and we can set one up and log each visit.
Doing It Safely
Working at height carries real risk. Our crews are trained on the lifts and ladders they use, the area underneath is blocked off, and we follow OSHA guidelines for elevated work. Desks, equipment and inventory get covered when needed, and we vacuum dust wherever possible instead of knocking it down, so it doesn't end up on the floor or in the air.
High dusting is surface cleaning. We clean the outside of ductwork, vents and diffusers but not the inside of HVAC duct systems. If you need that too, we're glad to coordinate with your HVAC contractor.
Our High Dusting Process
We walk the space first to check ceiling heights, what's up there and what's underneath it. That tells us whether we need a lift, which size, and how much protection the floor and furnishings need. We'll also work out the best time to do it, which for most businesses is overnight or on a weekend.
On the day, we cover what needs covering and start at the highest point. Dust is vacuumed off ducts, pipes, beams and fixtures, and surfaces are wiped with damp microfiber where that helps. We work in sections so the area below can be cleaned as we go.
When the overhead work is done, we clean the floors and anything else that caught dust, so the space is ready in the morning. If the rest of the space needs a deep cleaning, we can schedule both on the same visit.

High-Level Dust Removal FAQs
How high can you reach?
Our lifts and extension tools let us safely reach well above 12 feet, which covers most offices, restaurants and retail spaces. For very tall warehouse ceilings, we confirm the right lift during the walkthrough.
Will dust fall on our equipment or inventory?
We vacuum dust rather than brushing it down whenever we can, and we cover sensitive equipment, desks and products before we start. Afterward, we clean anything below that caught dust.
Do you clean inside air ducts?
No. High-level dust removal covers the outside of ductwork, vents, diffusers and grilles. Interior duct cleaning is HVAC work, and we can coordinate with your HVAC contractor if you need it.
Can you do high dusting while we are open?
Usually not, since we have to block off the area under the lift and there's some disruption. Most of our high dusting is done after hours or on weekends.
Is high dusting part of your regular janitorial service?
It's usually scheduled separately because it takes different equipment. If we already clean your building, we can add it to your program on a recurring schedule.
